Darius Andre Arya was born on February 24, 1971, to Iranian parents. His passion for archaeology emerged at a young age, leading him to pursue a PhD in Classical Archaeology.

In 2002, Arya co-founded the American Institute for Roman Culture with architect Tom Rankin. This institution became a renowned center for archaeological research and cultural preservation.
