Final Report and Payment Due for Entities Leaving Texas

Entities that no longer have sufficient nexus with Texas have 60 days to file a final report and make a payment of taxes due. This applies to entities that have dissolved, withdrawn, or relocated outside of Texas.

2024 Reporting Due Dates

The due dates for various taxes, fees, and reports have been adjusted for 2024 to account for weekends and holidays. Entities are encouraged to consult the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' website for the most up-to-date information.

No State Income Tax

Texas does not have a state income tax. However, residents are still required to file federal income taxes.

Increased Threshold and New Filing Requirements

The no tax due threshold has been increased to $247 million for 2024. Additionally, certain filing requirements have been revised. Entities should refer to the Comptroller's website for details.

Extension for Federal Tax Returns

2023 Quarterly Deadlines

For 2023, the quarterly deadlines for filing certain taxes in Texas remain the same: January 17, April 18, June 15, and October 16.
